Many companies, such as AT&T and Verizon, advertize how good their reception is all over the US without providing actual data. Our app hopes to show the actual reception and data coverage of the carriers that will be based on actual data. A background service will be started when the app is first launched and this service will then record the current provider, the signal strength, and the current location. When a user first loads the applications, a dialog box will ask them what providers they would like to show on the map. Then, when a user loads the map either on the website or the phone, the map will be drawn with a transparent overlay to show either the signal strength or network type that the chosen carriers have in the current area.
